I noticed that installing winetricks and then allfonts and gdiplus packages additional to wine 1.3.5 improves MetaTrader 5 look and feel.
Steps:
1) Install winetricks
http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks
2) Install allfonts from winetricks
$ winetricks allfonts
3) Install gdiplus from winetricks
$ winetricks gdiplus
